This week let's discuss the three interviews with Olympic champions:
- What interesting facts have your learnt you from the interviews?
- What questions do the reporters ask?
- What questions would you like to ask a sports star?
- What spoken phrases did you catch in the answers?
What may you do make your choice? How do you do it all? What do you miss from Real Madrid?
ReplyDeleteOn David Beckham’s thoughts, he became a good player, because he worked hard and was focused on being a footballer, with no interest to be famous or to make money .Another motivating thing that I have learned is that if you can stay focus, if you can practice whenever you have a chance, that would be biggest thing that you can do in your life to become successful. Also I was amazed by that David is unicef ambassador.
Who is the hardest player for you, you play against?
I really adore Victoria Azarenka words about if you enjoy something you will do it better and that from loses you can take more things out. So, I think Victoria is extremely successful and developed personality.
There are some phrases: it still a progress, hopefully; clear picture of something; for sure; which is a good thing; completely different; seems easy.
I agree with Victoria that losses can encourage you to move ahead. Do you remember a quote about it from our book: "Failure is not falling down but refusing to get up"?
DeleteYeah, and I quite like the other one: it’s not whether you get knocked down, it’s whether you get up again.
DeleteOf course i agree with Kate,he became a good player, because he worked hard. All profession requires hard work. And I recently learned, that soccer star David Beckham has a secret talent – he's an accomplished artist.
ReplyDeleteThe England and Los Angeles Galaxy player reveals he would have pursued a career in art, had he not made it as a sportsman.
Beckham tells People magazine, "I was very into art, so maybe I would have become an artist of some kind. My children are always asking me to draw different things for them."
And I think, that it is great art to combine such different things, football and art!
Yes, Polina, hard work is an integral part of success.
DeleteWhat new things have you learnt from the interview with David Beckham? Try to build your comment on the interview.
Polina, yes, I agree that it is great and unusual to combine art and football. Personally I think that it can do realy talanted and soulfull people like a David Beckham.
DeleteI am very proud of our belarussian tennis player Victoria Azarenko:) She played with the most popular tennis player Serena and Vika won! She was able to prove to the world that she is very strong. When she saw a play tennis she was enjoyed.
ReplyDeleteWhen she was 10 years old she had traveled herself and, as you know, it is help Victoria to be responsible.
I think that Victoria Azarenko is lucky because she can think of her coach not just as a coach, but as a friend. She said that he helps her grow not only as a tennis player, but as a person.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with you, Kate, Polina and Maria.
I believe that she is successful person. I am proud of her too, and I think in our country should be more people like her. More such good sportsmans.
In this interview she often used phrases such as "You know".
She said that there are moments when you have to make a decision yourself, and she is happy that she have such people who will help her always. But If I had a chance to ask her a question then I would asked if she met her love, and she would have to choose between family and tennis, what would she choose.
What would you do if you had to make such a choice: a family or a career?
DeleteWhat exactly do you mean?
DeleteI don't do any sports, but I dedicate to dancing. If we talk about dancing, that...hmm...Now I can't say exactly, but I would try to combine a family and a career. I know for sure that I won't leave family, all the more (тем более) if I will have children. But in spite of this I won't leave dancing, because at the moment dance give me pleasure. So... I I will do everything to combine this things.
We don't know what the future holds, but now I'd have done that way.
I absolutely agree with David Beckham. If you want to become successful you sholdn't interest in making money or becoming famous. You shouldn't collect the titles, you should collect the hours of hard work. On the other hand, " You don't need to put the pressure on yourself", Usian Bolt said. The only thing you need to do to beat odds and never give up.
ReplyDeleteBut reporter asked not all question. For example, I want to know how he began his career, what he has been doing at the begining.
What about phrases, he use such phrases as:of course, for sure, hopefully, seems easy.
We know that Victoria Azarenka is a belarussian professional tennis player and the women`s World №2.To achieve this you need a lot to work on yourself. She has said that only helped secure her coach. But i think she ashamed. When she was a child, she wanted to be famous. In my opinion she achieved all by herself. And bow to people like she.
ReplyDeleteI confess, I love football. And do not know a player-David Beckham, for me ashamed! He said that if you want to be as i, that you must work a lot. He always wanted to be famous and rich like all people, but not everyone turns. Art and football, it`s interesting.Hmmm... I don`t now about it. Thank you Polina for this information.I absolutely agree with you(Polina) is great!
If i can interview.I would ask:How do you do it? In my opinion it is interesting now, how they do it.Not everyone can achieve this. It's a long road to the knowledge of sports...
David Beckham said that one of the most important ingredient of success is that you need to do something for the sake of money and fame. Victoria Azarenka says you have to enjoy what you do. I completely agree with these statements.
ReplyDeleteAlso David said that to achieve the results you need to focus on the goals and work hard. This is also one of the components of success.
In addition to that, support is important. Support of family, friends, support of fans, it all helps to get things done.
As for spoken phrases, they used such phrases as hopefully, you know, for sure and etc.
I have to do this stuff 4 an exam :(
